For more than 100 years, St. Scholastica has been committed to meeting the healthcare needs of rural areas. As the only PA program in northern Minnesota, we are uniquely positioned to offer you an education focused on serving the healthcare needs of rural communities. Because of the shortage of healthcare providers in rural areas, there’s a need for well-trained providers to fill the gap. Our program will give you the specialized knowledge and skills you need to be practice-ready in a rural setting, or to serve in any other healthcare system.
Through a values-based curriculum, our rural care-focused PA program will teach you to provide exceptional healthcare. As a student, you’ll receive advanced training in medical diagnosis, treatment, patient management, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. St. Scholastica’s PA program in Minnesota provides comprehensive training that aligns with current PA school requirements and supports students preparing for physician associate/assistant certification.

As healthcare providers try to combat the rising costs, the demand for PAs is increasing dramatically. In fact, The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for between 2024 and 2034. As demand for healthcare services grows, PAs will be needed to provide care to patients.
